Jeff Rothbart

Mr. Rothbart is an Illinois licensed attorney with a focus on real estate and taxation. Mr Rothbart is also an expert witness in real estate related litigation and a certified mediator.

Mr. Rothbart has over 18 years of institutional, commercial and residential real estate experience including, but not limited to, valuation, acquisitions, development, general contracting, equity and debt financing and lending standards, legal document review, asset/portfolio management, capital markets, leasing, dispositions, sustainability, HOA formation and administration and brokerage.  Mr. Rothbart has also served as an expert witness or litigation consultant on over 50 matters with a cumulative asset value in excess of $500 million.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Rothbart has participated in over $3 billion worth of commercial and residential real estate transactions, across property types, geography and risk profile. Highlights include, but are not limited to:

  • Participated in over $3,000,000,000 of commercial real estate transactions across property type and geography.
  • Disposed of over $1,750,000,000 in commercial real estate assets.
  • Formed over $200,000,000 in real estate joint ventures.
  • Managed over 11,000,000 SF of commercial real estate assets.
  • Procured over $500,000,000 in equity and debt investments.
  • Negotiated over 200 leases totaling more than 2,000,000 SF.
  • Own approximately 100 acres of raw land for development.

Mr. Rothbart published over 40 articles and research reports on the commercial real estate markets which were cited in over 100 different real estate publications.

Mr. Rothbart has also consulted, either as an expert witness or on a third-party basis, in over 50 matters. Mr. Rothbart has a B.A. from Emory University, a J.D. from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law, an LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University, a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management from Cornell University as well as a Certificate in Real Estate Investment and Development from Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business.

Additionally, Mr. Rothbart is an Adjunct Professor of Law at IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law, a licensed Illinois attorney, a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, a LEED-AP for New Construction v2.2 and formerly held NASD/FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses. Finally, Mr. Rothbart has been a ‘market participant’ for the PwC Korpacz Real Estate Investor Survey for since approximately 2006.

Mr. Rothbart is a Certified Mediator from the National Association of Certified Mediators.

Michael J Delrahim

Mr. Delrahim is an attorney licensed in Illinois, Minnesota and the District of Columbia with a focus on real estate.

Mr. Delrahim has been appointed as special counsel pertaining to real estate issues in divorce.

Mr. Delrahim has over 19 years of institutional, commercial and residential real estate experience including, but not limited to, acquisitions, development, general contracting, equity and debt financing and lending standards, legal document review, asset/portfolio management, capital markets, leasing, dispositions, sustainability, and HOA formation and administration.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Delrahim has served as legal counsel with respect to real estate matters topping $6 billion, across property types, geography and risk profile.

Mr. Delrahim has traveled and presented as a speaker in more than 16 continuing legal education forums and bar association meeting engagements on topics including mezzanine debt financing, real estate development, bank failures, foreclosures, and title insurance.

Mr. Delrahim has a B.S. from University of Wisconsin, and a J.D. from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. Mr. Delrahim is an Adjunct Professor of Law at IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law, a licensed Illinois, Minnesota and District of Columbia attorney. He holds title insurance producer licenses in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. Mr. Delrahim was inducted as a Fellow, and is the State Chairperson for Illinois, of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

Mr. Delrahim has been an advisory board member in Chicago of a global bank.

Mr. Delrahim is a Certified Mediator from the National Association of Certified Mediators.
